Adarna

30/09/2011

The Digibox Videography Department had the privilege of covering ADARNA, a contemporary dance-theater production inspired by the timeless Filipino folk tale Ibong Adarna. The piece featured the creative works of renowned artists Ava Villanueva, Rhosam Prudenciado Jr., Mia Cabalfin, and Jed Amihan, brought to life by the talented company members and apprentices of Airdance.

Staged at the Henry Lee Irwin Theatre, Adarna reimagined the classic tale through powerful choreography, movement, and visual storytelling — a celebration of Philippine culture and contemporary performance.

Airdance is a pioneering Philippine contemporary dance company known for its commitment to creativity and excellence in dance. The group brings together artists from diverse backgrounds — from classical and modern ballet to jazz, hip-hop, martial arts, and gymnastics — creating a unique fusion that continues to push the boundaries of contemporary dance in the country.
