Digibox at EAS Congress 2012: Moving Towards a Blue Economy AVP for PEMSEA

Digibox Audiovisual Productions Co. is proud to have played a significant role in the East Asian Seas (EAS) Congress 2012, held in Changwon City, Republic of Korea, from July 9–13, 2012. We produced two major video projects for this prestigious event, both of which helped highlight the importance of regional cooperation in sustainable ocean management and the adoption of a Blue Economy.

The first project was a 4-minute info-graphics animation titled Moving Towards a Blue Economy. Serving as the opening video of the congress, this AVP set the tone for the event, encapsulating the vision for a sustainable and thriving Blue Economy in East Asia. The animation was a collaborative effort with stunning visuals brought to life by animation artists Hannah Alpasan-Abdul, Migz Saguiguit, and Roy Orial. The narrative was shaped by writers Wilma Manda and Lili Esquillon, while UNIITIMA's original music score added a dynamic touch to the storytelling.

The second video, a 10-minute AVP, focused on the PEMSEA Partnership and was presented as the closing video of the congress. It showcased PEMSEA's collaborative efforts and their dedication to sustainable development in the region. Directed by Digibox's Creative Director, Laz'Andre Cawagas, and produced by Ramon Mendoza, this video reinforced PEMSEA's commitment to protecting the environment while promoting sustainable economic growth.

Both videos were created with the goal of raising awareness about the need for action towards sustainable ocean management. Digibox was honored to contribute to the success of the EAS Congress 2012, an event organized by PEMSEA, the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs (MLTM), the City of Changwon, and supported by global organizations such as the Global Environment Facility (GEF), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

Through these visual storytelling projects, Digibox has proudly contributed to the global conversation on environmental sustainability and the Blue Economy, helping to inspire action and commitment towards the preservation of the world's oceans.

PEMSEA (Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia) is a regional initiative that promotes sustainable development and environmental stewardship in East and Southeast Asian coastal and marine areas. It brings together governments, communities, and organizations to implement integrated coastal management practices, protect marine ecosystems, and foster resilient and climate-adaptive coastal communities.
