Behind the scenes from our recent interview shoot for That We May See, a documentary by Paul Alexander Morales featuring Kaisahan and generations of Social Realist artists in the Philippines.

We had the privilege of visiting the home and studio of Edgar "Egai" Talusan Fernandez to interview his wife, Nena, and revisit the spaces where he lived and worked.

Egai (1955–2024) was a Social Realist painter and sculptor who sustained his artistic practice since the mid-1970s. Known for his political activism, he was a founding member of progressive artist groups Kaisahan, Concerned Artists of the Philippines, and ABAY (Artista ng Bayan). His works and advocacy remain deeply intertwined with the struggles and realities of the Filipino people.

Filming inside his home studio offered a rare and intimate glimpse into the artist's life, creative process, and enduring legacy through the memories and stories shared by those closest to him.

That We May See documentary is co-produced by Digibox Audiovisual Productions Co.
