Buen Viaje: Manila–Acapulco–Manila at Pintô Art Museum

On May 5, 2024, the Pintô Art Museum and Arboretum in Antipolo City opened its thought-provoking exhibit titled "Buen Viaje: Manila–Acapulco–Manila", celebrating the rich cultural and historical connections forged by the Manila–Acapulco Galleon Trade. Philstar Life+2Philstar Life+2
In collaboration with the Embassy of Mexico in the Philippines, the exhibit brought to life how goods, ideas, maps, art and culture flowed between the Philippines and Mexico across centuries. Philstar Life+1
As part of the opening programme, Filipino historian Ambeth Ocampo delivered a lecture entitled "Mexico Under Our Skin", in which he examined how the 250-year galleon trade shaped not just commerce but identity, language and culture in the Philippines.
For the event, Smile Party Events was engaged as the supplier for lights/sounds/video with Digibox Audiovisual Productions providing full video coverage, multi-camera setup and livestreaming of the programme. Through Digibox's technical expertise, the lecture, gallery walkthrough and opening ceremonies were captured seamlessly and broadcast to a wider audience.
This collaboration highlights how live-event production, audiovisual coverage and digital livestreaming support cultural institutions in bringing heritage and art experiences to more people — especially in a world increasingly connected.
