WHO Healthy Island Vision

For its presentation to the 11th Pacific Health Ministers Meeting held at Yanuca Island, Fiji on April 17, the World Health Organization Western Pacific Regional Office (WPRO) commissioned Digibox Audio Visual Productions to produce a 6-minute Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP) titled "Healthy Island Vision."
Renowned voice-over talent Pinky Aseron lent her distinct, expressive voice to the project, adding warmth and clarity that complemented the AVP's inspiring message. Aseron is one of the Philippines' most recognizable professional voice artists, known for her work in national campaigns, corporate narrations, and broadcast commercials.
The Healthy Islands concept was born from the 1995 Yanuca Island Declaration, established during the first Pacific Health Ministers Meeting. It was created in response to major public health challenges in the region—rising non-communicable diseases, persistent infectious diseases, and the growing need to strengthen health systems to manage both burdens effectively.
The AVP presented by WHO reaffirms the region's ongoing commitment to creating "Healthy Islands"—communities that support holistic well-being through healthy environments, empowered people, and resilient health systems.
