FAQ

Smart Live Video Production

About the Smart Production Packages

1. What are Digibox Smart Production Packages?

Digibox Smart Production Packages are streamlined live video production solutions designed for conferences, seminars, corporate events, stage programs, and other live events.

Depending on the package, the production may include one to three PTZ cameras, live camera switching, vertical or horizontal video, venue video output, livestreaming, and technical crew.

2. What is the difference between a Live Feed Package and a Live Stream Ready Package?

Live Feed Packages are designed primarily for providing a live camera feed to the venue's LED wall, projector, or other display system.

Live Stream Ready Packages include the additional production requirements for livestreaming your event online, while also providing a live program feed for the venue.

3. Which package should I choose?

It depends on your event and production requirements. Factors such as the size of the venue, number of cameras needed, type of program, number of displays, and whether you need an online livestream will determine the most suitable package.

If you're unsure which package is right for your event, we can help recommend a setup based on your requirements.

4. Can I customize a Smart Production Package?

Yes. The packages are designed as starting points and can be customized depending on your event requirements. Additional cameras, audio capture, presentation/video integration, and other production requirements may be added where appropriate.

5. Can I combine packages and add-ons?

Yes. Packages and production add-ons can be combined to create a setup suited to your event.

6. Can I combine packages and add-ons?

Yes. Packages and production add-ons can be combined to create a setup suited to your event.

Production & Camera Operations

1. What cameras are included in the packages?

Our Smart Production Packages use OBSBOT Tail 2 AI-powered PTZ cameras, providing remote pan, tilt, zoom, and intelligent tracking capabilities.

2. Are the cameras wireless?

Yes. The camera system is designed for wireless operation, allowing greater flexibility in camera placement and reducing the need for long video cables between cameras and the production position.

Wireless performance, however, can depend on the venue environment and RF conditions. Camera positions and the wireless setup are planned with the venue in mind.

3. Do I need to provide camera operators?

No. The packages include AV technicians to operate the production equipment included in your selected package.

4. Can you operate the live video production for us?

Yes. Our AV technicians can operate the production equipment included in your selected package. Depending on the package, this may include camera operation, live switching, presentation/video integration, and other technical aspects of the production. One member of the crew may serve as the Technical Director (TD) to manage the technical workflow.

The crew's role, however, is primarily technical rather than creative or editorial. Program flow, creative decisions, asset queueing, and instructions on when to switch cameras or play content should be guided by the client's Program Director, Producer, Show Caller, or designated event representative. Our technical crew will work closely with your team to execute those instructions during the event.

5. Can the cameras be positioned away from the production area?

Yes, subject to the venue layout and wireless conditions. Camera positions are planned according to the requirements of the event and the available wireless environment.

6. Who is responsible for directing the program?

Digibox's crew is responsible for the technical operation of the production system. The client's Program Director, Producer, Show Caller, or designated representative remains responsible for the creative direction and program flow, including camera shot selections, timing of transitions, presentation cues, video playback, and other show-calling decisions.

Our Technical Director and AV technicians will coordinate closely with the client's team to execute these instructions during the event.

7. Can you shoot vertical video for TikTok, Reels, and Facebook?

Yes. Our OBSBOT Tail 2 cameras support portrait/vertical shooting, allowing us to create video specifically for today's vertical-first social media platforms.

This can be particularly useful for events that want to livestream vertically, create social-media content, or capture speakers and performances in a format ready for TikTok, Facebook Reels, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

Instead of treating social-media content as an afterthought, your production can be planned with both traditional landscape video and vertical content in mind.

Venue Video & Livestreaming

1. Can you send the camera feed to our LED wall or projector?

Yes. Our Live Feed Packages can provide a live program feed to the venue's LED wall, projector, or other compatible display system.

2. Does the package include the LED wall or projector?

No. The Smart Production Packages provide the live video production system and technical services. LED walls, projectors, screens, and other venue display systems are generally supplied separately unless specifically included in your quotation.

3. Can you livestream our event to Facebook or YouTube?

Yes. Our Live Stream Ready Packages are designed to provide an online livestream in addition to the venue's live video feed.

4. Do I need to provide the livestream account?

Yes. The client should provide access to the destination platform or account where the event will be streamed, such as Facebook or YouTube.

5. Do I need to provide internet access?

A reliable internet connection is required for online livestreaming. We can assess the available internet connection at your venue and advise on the requirements for your livestream.

6. What if the venue's internet connection is unreliable?

We can discuss alternative connectivity options depending on the venue and event requirements. For important livestreams, internet connectivity should be evaluated and tested before the event.

7. Can you livestream to multiple platforms?

Multi-platform livestreaming may be possible depending on the platforms and production requirements. Please let us know your intended streaming destinations when requesting a quotation.

Audio, Presentations & Content

1. Can you integrate with the venue's sound system?

Yes. Where a suitable audio output is available from the venue's sound system or mixing console, we can integrate the audio feed into the video production system.

2. What if the venue cannot provide an audio feed?

Professional Audio Capture can be added to the production package where required. This provides a dedicated audio capture and integration solution for the live production.

3. Can you show PowerPoint presentations together with the camera feed?

Yes. Presentation & Video Integration can incorporate presentation slides, client laptop feeds, prerecorded videos, logos, and other content into the live program, subject to the selected setup.

4. Can you switch between camera shots, presentations, and videos?

Yes. The production system can switch between available camera and content sources. However, decisions regarding program flow and when specific content should be shown should be directed by the client's Program Director, Producer, Show Caller, or designated representative.

5. Can you display our logo and event graphics?

Yes. Basic logos, graphics, and title cards can be incorporated when Presentation & Video Integration is included in the production setup.

Setup, Venue & Event Requirements

1. Do the cameras need to be connected to AC power?

The camera setup can use battery-powered operation, allowing greater flexibility in camera placement. Specific power requirements will depend on the selected equipment and duration of the event.

2. Do you need to inspect the venue before the event?

For multi-camera productions and livestreams, a venue assessment may be recommended. This allows us to evaluate camera positions, wireless conditions, power requirements, internet connectivity, audio integration, and connections to the venue's AV system.

3. Can you work with the venue's existing AV team?

Yes. Our technical crew can coordinate with the venue's AV team for connections to available sound, LED wall, projection, and other compatible systems.

4. What does the venue need to provide?

Requirements vary depending on the package. These may include suitable space for the production position, access to venue AV systems, internet connectivity for livestreaming, Production Team table, and other technical requirements identified during pre-event coordination.

We will advise you of the specific requirements for your selected package.

Pricing & Booking

1. Are the prices shown on the website the final price?

The published package rates are based on the services and inclusions described on the website. The final quotation may vary depending on the venue, event schedule, location, additional equipment, extended hours, special production requirements, and other project-specific requirements.

2. Are there additional charges for overtime?

Additional charges may apply when production exceeds the agreed coverage or service period. Any applicable overtime charges will be indicated in your quotation.

3. Can I request additional equipment or services?

Yes. Additional production equipment and services may be available depending on your requirements. Let us know what you need when requesting a quotation so we can provide the appropriate setup and pricing.

4. How do I book a Smart Production Package?

Send us your event date, venue, event type, schedule, expected audience, desired number of cameras, and whether you require livestreaming.

Our team can then recommend the appropriate package and provide a quotation based on your requirements.

5. Can you recommend a package if I don't know what I need?

Absolutely. You don't need to know all the technical requirements beforehand. Tell us about your event and what you want the audience—both onsite and online—to see, and we'll help determine the appropriate production setup.

6. Are crew meals included in the package?

No. Crew meals are to be provided by the client during the production.

Because podcast productions can involve early call times and extended production periods, meals should be provided according to the following schedule:

Call time starts at 6:00 AM or earlier
Breakfast must be provided

Production is ongoing during lunch
Lunch must be provided

Production is ongoing during dinner
Dinner must be provided

Pack-up extends beyond 8:00 PM
An additional meal must be provided

7. Is transportation included in the package price?

No. Transportation is billed separately.

Transportation charges are based on the current prevailing transportation rates at the time of the production.

As a reference, transportation is calculated based on the prevailing rate for a 6-seater vehicle from services such as Grab or other comparable car-hailing/transportation services.

The applicable transportation cost will depend on:

  • Pick-up and drop-off location
  • Travel distance
  • Travel time
  • Current transportation rates
  • Number of trips required
  • Equipment and crew requirements

The final transportation cost will be confirmed with the client prior to the production.

8. What are your payment terms and methods?

A 30% advance payment is required to reserve and block your date.

The advance payment may be made through GCash, PayMaya, or bank transfer (Metrobank).
This amount will be credited as partial payment once the booking proceeds.

The remaining balance or full payment must be settled on or before the event date.
We can email an Official Receipt or Service Invoice once full payment is received.

In case of force majeure, your 30% advance payment will be refunded in full.

  • For cancellations, the 30% advance payment is non-refundable.

  • If you cancel or reschedule at least 4 days before your booking date:
    • The 30% advance payment is refundable (for cancellations).
    • The 30% advance payment remains valid and intact (for rescheduling).
